At Empowering Minds Tuition, our mission is simple: to nurture potential, build confidence, and open doors for every learner. With over 10 years of experience, we specialise in guiding children through their crucial educational journeys, from primary foundations to SATs, 11+ preparation, and GCSE milestones in Maths, English, and Science.
What makes us different is not just expertise, but empathy. We have specialists in Maths – particularly skilled in supporting children with maths anxiety – a field deeply researched and explored through years of study and practice. Many parents come to us with children who feel overwhelmed or fearful of numbers, and leave with young learners who are calm, capable, and even excited to learn.
But this journey is personal to us.
I come from a disadvantaged background where tuition was a luxury my family simply couldn’t afford. What I did have, however, was the unwavering encouragement of my parents and the kindness of teachers who gave extra time, believing in me when I didn’t always believe in myself. Their support helped me earn a place at grammar school and succeed at university, later becoming a teacher myself.
Empowering Minds Tuition is my way of giving back — providing the support I once needed, at a price that families can truly manage. We remain committed to being affordable, not because education is easy, but because it is essential.
